The way your body interacts with a mattress topper greatly depends on your sleep style. Side sleepers usually find comfort in softer toppers, allowing for less pressure being applied to the hips. Back and stomach sleepers typically sleep more comfortably on firmer toppers. For back sleepers, we recommend thicker toppers (3 - 4 inches) that deliver extra support. For stomach sleepers, we recommend thinner toppers (2 - 3 inches) to prevent the hips from sinking which can lead to lower back pain.
