A mattress topper for your dorm bed can dramatically improve the overall comfort level of your existing mattress and provide you with a better night's sleep – so long as it's the right kind of mattress topper. When it comes to your academic success, it's worth it not to cut corners.

We recommend double checking with your school to ensure dorm bed size, generally most dorm beds are either Twin XL or Full XL size. 

We suggest buying one with adjustable straps, such as the Select High Density. Or one with a deep-pocket elastic skirt, such as the Hybrid Lux. These features paired with your fitted sheet, help hold the topper onto the mattress.

We generally recommend a 2-4 inch thick topper.

The 3 inch thickness option is great for those looking to add comfort and support to a mattress.

The 4 inch thickness is ideal for larger framed individuals that may otherwise feel unsupported by thinner options.

You are not. Universities typically replace them on an as-needed basis. You are, however, allowed to add a mattress topper. Buying a 3" thick or thicker topper will significantly improve the comfort of your mattress and add another layer of cleanliness to your bed.

Our Certi-pur certified foam is developed to minimize odors when unboxed and be completely odorless after 48 hours. Several of our foams are left unrolled in large blocks for several days after they are produced to allow for most, if not all, off-gassing to occur prior to compression and packaging.  Keeping your topper snug in the box for an extended period will not increase any unpleasant odors, but we still recommend allowing 24-48 hours for any lasting off-gassing to occur.

Our toppers fully packaged can weigh between 15-30lbs depending on the size and type. We do not recommend trying to fit it on a plane as a carry-on.

Mattress toppers are not required to meet this standard. However, our products do meet the flammability requirements of California bureau of electronic and appliance repair, home furnishings and thermal insulation technical bulletin 117-2013. Care should be exercised near open flame or with burning cigarettes. They contains no added flame retardant chemicals. We ship our products through FedEx which can be delivered to college campuses. You will need to get your shipping address from the college and use it as your shipping address.  Mail rooms at colleges are generally chaos during the first few weeks, but we will provide you with tracking information to help locate your package once shipped.  

Note – some colleges do not allow packages to arrive prior to a certain date, so be sure to double check and plan accordingly!

Your topper can be folded and rolled for storage. You can then either put it in a vacuum seal bag or secure it in a plastic tote until you are ready to use it again next year.
