I did a ton of research before I got the Viscosoft high density full mattress topper for my 2 year old. I loved it immediately. I let it air out on the floor and it inflated right away! Good news and bad news. First the good. This is a heavy duty (and heavy-I think it’s 35 pounds or so) quality product which also comes with a very nice cover. I found the smell waned after a few hours after I left it right under a ceiling fan, and I was able to try it out on the same day it was delivered. Unfortunately, I still sank in more than IRead more about review stating Review would have liked and it didn’t help with my lower back issue. So I had to return it. Other than that, I was very impressed with this topper. My problems began after the arrival of a new and expensive Sterns and Foster Queen plush Cassatt bed set with a mattress that initially felt like a rock. That’s why I’ve needed to purchase and use these memory foams toppers, which have to a degree been helpful. Although the S&F mattress has softened somewhat after using the set for 60 days or so, it still feels more like sleeping on my carpeted floor than on the model that was in the store. Hence, memory foams toppers to the rescue. Now for the bad news. I did return the topper but the only “free return” option was to carry it across the showroom floor of the Kohl’s near me. It wouldn’t fit in their carts. Needless to say, my 72 year old lower back did not appreciate doing that since the topper is heavy! Before going to Kohl’s, I did call Amazon customer service and asked if I could drop it off at a local UPS store where I could back my car right near the entrance door, and have them also package it without being charged. These toppers do not fit back into the original shipment container. But they were not able to bring that about. So my advice to you is that if you are thinking of making a purchase, to keep in mind a that a return for you could be a problem like it was for me. Heating pad and recliner chair here we come!!!

We bought the topper for our guest bedroom on our older Queen bed-in-a-box. Our guest spent 4 nights on it and said they slept great on it. I wish we had bought it for ourselves during the years we slept on it before we bought our new King Sz bed. Definitely recommend.
